Description
No 92 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some later alterations. The building is roughcast with a 20th-century pantile roof and consists of three storeys and four bays.
On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century plate-glass shop windows framed by delicate colonnette supports, a metal grille serving as a frieze, and traditional lettering on the fascia. A shop blind is mounted on fluted pilasters. The first and second floors feature 4-pane sash windows with projecting ashlar sills. There is a kneeler and ashlar coping on the left side, and brick stacks at the ends. Internally, the shop has been significantly extended towards the rear. This building is included for its group value.
