Description
No. 90 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of painted brown brick in Flemish bond and has a pantile roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays.
On the ground floor, there is a recessed board passage door to the left, a 20th-century shop front in the centre, and another passage door to the right. The first floor features a sash window on the left with a flush exposed sash box, a projecting ashlar sill, and a flat arch with a keystone. The second and third bays have a canted bay window that dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. The second floor has half-size windows, which now have single pane pivoting frames and flat arches with keystones.
To the left, there is a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping. The building has end stacks and a rear ridge stack. The rear wing, which has three and two lower storeys, features side-sliding sash windows and is less altered than most of the neighbouring rear ranges.
