6/209 Sandford Family chest tomb in churchyard, about 20 metres South of chancel, Church of St Augustine
GV II
Casket tomb. Mid C19. Portland stone. Ledger topped raised central section on stepped moulded plinth with casket blob carried on lion's paws with plinth. Inscribed panels on North and South faces with coats of arms East and jest, North face to Henry Sandford died 1841, South face to Caroline Sandford his sister, died 1851. Partially obscured by ivy at time of survey (March 1984).
