Description

The wagon shed and other outbuildings, located to the east of Bradley Head Farm House, were built in 1858. They are constructed from local stone rubble and feature plain clay tile roofs with projecting gables, forming an 'L' shape. The open wagon shed is situated immediately east of the farmhouse, supported by massive timber beams resting on large shaped stone corbels, with a braced king post roof truss spanning three bays. The two-storey return has five bays, with the second and fourth bays slightly projecting and featuring gables. These bays contain lower casement windows set in segmental arched openings, along with double doors that have flat heads above. Bay three includes tall stable doors with a fanlight above, and the datestone is positioned above this bay. This structure is part of a complete and little altered mid-19th century farm complex.
