Stables and cart shed. Circa early C18 stables; extended by addition of cart-shed in circa mid-late C19. Stone rubble; extended partly in red brick. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. PLAN: Long rectangular range with stables at south end with loft above, and extended in mid-late C19 at north end by the addition of a 3-bay cart-shed, and on the west side by the addition of an outshut containing a staircase to the loft. EXTERIOR: Stable has loft door in south gable end with blocked window above and wide new opening below. Cart-shed at north end has red brick east front with three cart bays with elliptical arches. Roof is carried down over outshut on west side with stairs at south end to stable loft. INTERIOR: Loft over stables has plastered walls, 2-bay tie-beam and collar roof with staggered tenoned purlins, diagonal ridge piece and common rafters. The cart-shed has king-post roof.
