Description
Bradley Head Farm House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone that is cut and squared, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring plain gables and stone chimney stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan with extensions and stands two storeys high with an attic. The south front has three bays, with the first bay featuring a projecting gable. The second and third bays contain 16-pane sash windows set in voussoired segmental arched openings, while the return of the first bay has a leaded 2-light casement window in the attic gable. There are two extensions to the east; the first has two bays with small pane casement windows and a boarded door in a heavy frame, which is sheltered by a flat timber hood on brackets located at the lower left bay. The second extension, also two bays, may date from 1858, which corresponds with the date of the attached farm buildings. The interior has not been seen. The farmhouse is a prominent feature of a complete and largely unaltered mid-19th century farmstead.
