ANSFORD CP ST63SW 1/9 Milestone at NGR ST 6324 3341 - II

Milestone. Early C19. Cast iron; triangular on plan; sloping top; no back. About 700 mm high, with faces 300 mm wide; panels having reversed curve corners to each face, the southern reading 'Shepton Mallet 7', the northern 'Castle Cary 1', and the raked top 'Weynouth 41'. This road was maintained by the Shepton Mallet Trust from 1753.
