Description

Hill House is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed, car stone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with brick end chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and three bays. It features sash windows; those on the outer bays have 20 panes above and 16 panes below, while the central first-floor window is a 12-pane sash positioned lower than the others. All windows are set within plain ashlar surrounds. The central entrance features a 6-panel door with glazed toplights, set within a plain surround and sheltered by a flat stone hood supported by simple brackets. A rear extension contains a first-floor leaded timber casement with an iron-framed opening light. The interior has not been inspected. The house is primarily listed for its group value with Greenhills and Half Moon House.
