Description

Wychwood Cottage is an end-of-row cottage, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from roughly coursed Cary stone rubble and features a double Roman clay tile roof with a coped east gable and brick chimney stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. It includes small-pane, two-light casement windows set under timber lintels. The lower bay has a part-glazed door that is sheltered by a timber-and-tile hood. There is a lean-to extension on the east gable. The interior has not been seen. Wychwood Cottage is attached on the west to Cancot, May Cottage, and Rosamunde, forming a group that has good architectural value together.
