Description
The office wing immediately north-west of Hillcrest School House is a former stables and coach house to the rectory, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared Cary stone, with Doulting stone dressings, and features a plain clay tiled roof between coped gables and stone end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are pointed-arched with plain surrounds, consisting of two leaded lights with 'Y' tracery. In the lower bay two, there is a former elliptical arched doorway that has been blocked in, with a matching window inserted, and an additional window placed between bays two and three. There is a pointed-arched doorway between bays one and two. The east gable connects to new 20th-century school buildings, and there are extensions at the rear of the building. The interior has not been inspected. This office wing forms a good group with Hillcrest School House.
