Description
This is a range of farm outbuildings located about 10 meters north-west of Bowers Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The buildings are constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, and they feature a double Roman clay tile roof with coped gables that have gabletted finials. The structure is L-shaped, with the west range comprising an 8-bay barn that has a collar-trussed roof and has been modified. It includes a 3-bay opening and a door on the east side, along with some blocked openings in the south gable, and flagstone floors. The north range serves as a modified byre-type wing. This group of buildings holds significant group value with Bowers Farmhouse.
