Description

This is a range of outbuildings located on the west side of the farmyard, flanking a gateway, along with a range of cowsheds and barns on the north side of the farmyard. These structures date from the late 16th century, with some later alterations. They are built from stone and form a fine collection around the north and west sides of the farmyard.

The west range, situated on either side of the gate piers, is single storey and features later brick facing at the rear, with stone-coped gabled ends flanking the gateway. The north range of cowsheds includes a hay loft above and has stone mullioned windows on its north side. The east end of this range displays a crude plaster frieze depicting a hunting scene and terminates in a cross-wing that features two cambered stone doorways and mullioned windows, along with original wooden stable stalls for horses. The gables are topped with stone ball finials and the roofs are tiled.
