Description
The Plate Layers Hut, located about 26 metres south of Williton Signal Box, was built in 1862. It is constructed from squared and coursed red sandstone and features a slate roof with a tall stone stack at the rear. The hut consists of two cells and is a single-storey structure. It has two plank doors on the front, with the left room containing a decorative hob grate set in the angle of the wall. This building is part of an unusually complete set of railway station buildings that retain their original fittings.
