Description
The engine shed, located about 5 metres north of the Williton Railway Station booking office, dates back to 1862. It is constructed from squared and coursed red sandstone with quoins and features a timber boarded south front. The building has a slate roof with overhanging eaves and a coved cornice, along with a stone stack at the north gable ends.
On the east front, which faces the railway line, there are three tall windows with rusticated surrounds. The north front includes a single-storey lean-to addition, while the west front has large sliding double doors. The south front features double doors on the right, with a section of track remaining. This engine shed is part of a notable group of well-preserved station buildings.
