Description

The Goods Shed, built around 1874, is a single-storey structure made of squared, uncoursed red sandstone with Bath stone dressings and quoins. It features a slate roof with overhanging eaves and sprockets, and a brick stack on the left gable end. The shed is aligned parallel to the railway track and has sliding double doors on all sides, except for the track elevation, which has three semi-circular headed openings with voussoirs and rusticated jambs. On the left side, there is a single-storey gabled office block with a triple round arched window. The gable end at the rear is weatherboarded. The West Somerset Railway line was extended from Watchet to Minehead in 1874.
