Description

The goods shed, located to the north-east of the railway station, was built in 1872 for the Minehead Railway Company. It is constructed from red sandstone rubble with freestone dressings and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is one storey high. The west elevation, which faces the station, has five windows with semicircular brick arches above nine-pane windows. The south elevation has a segmental brick arch over a pair of plank double doors at the center, with similar double doors on each gable end. Inside, there are softwood trusses. This well-preserved goods shed is representative of its period and forms a good group with the station building.
