Description
Castle Lodge is a two-storey whitewashed house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has a long, low front that is set at an angle to Castle Green and features an old pantile roof. The building is topped with a prominent brick chimney stack that has three flues located in the center of the roof. The façade includes four widely spaced early 18th century sash windows. To the right, there is a low-set nine-panel door. The west front has six flush-set sash windows with glazing bars. Castle Lodge is part of a group of listed buildings on Castle Green, which includes Ina Cottage on Mill Lane.
