Description
Alham Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early and late 19th century. It features a combination of ashlar and snecked rubble, with an ashlar stack that has a moulded cap, a brick stack, and two snecked rubble stacks, one of which rises from eaves level. The farmhouse has coped verges and slate roofs. It is divided into two sections: the left side is designed in a Regency villa style, while the right side is a lower height Tudor style addition.
The building has two sections with a total of five bays and stands two storeys high. The left section includes pilasters, a cornice, a parapet, coping, and a first-floor band, with two-light casements that have marginal glazing bars and architraves. On the ground floor, there are two pairs of French windows. The right section has three bays featuring three-light stone-mullioned windows, with transomed square-paned leaded lights on the ground floor. To the right of the left two bays, there is a door opening with a 4-centred arch, a shallow porch, an achievement, a cornice, coping, and a ribbed door.
