Description
Lower Alham Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with a double-Roman tile roof featuring coped verges and truncated stacks, one of which is made of brick. The building has a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays. It features three-light moulded stone-mullioned and transomed windows, with iron casements and leaded lights. The central door opening is framed in moulded stone and has a studded plank door. There is a wing at right angles to the rear. This farmhouse is an example of an unaltered 17th-century building.
