Description
Laburnam Cottage and the attached cottage to the east are two dwellings dating from the 17th century, with alterations in the 18th and 20th centuries. They are constructed of coursed rubble, with slated and tiled roofs. One roof has wide eaves and coped verges, while the other is rendered and features two brick stacks. The cottages have two storeys and a layout of 1:1:4 bays, with a single bay projecting to the left under a front-facing gable. Windows are stone mullioned, with 2, 3, and 4 lights. Some of the mullions are moulded, and some windows have stopped labels; four windows appear to have been renewed in the 20th century. There are two door openings, one with a plank door set within a 20th-century flat-roofed porch. Interior features of interest include fireplaces, window shutters, and ceiling beams.
