Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house with a shop, now used as offices with a shop. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings, and the exterior is colourwashed. The roof is double-pitched, covered in clay pantiles, with coped gables and brick chimney stacks.

The building is three storeys high with three bays. The ground floor has been significantly altered with 20th-century shop fronts, including a recessed entrance to the middle for the shop and a doorway to the left leading to offices. The first floor has paired 12-pane sash windows in the outer bays, a central 12-pane window with a semicircular head, and matching pairs and a single 9-pane sash window to the second floor. The central single-light window and the remaining windows have flat, gauged brick arches; the central window is glazed, while the others appear blind. A plain parapet sits above, with a small moulded cornice and simple coping.

The ground floor interior has been much remodelled. However, the first floor retains portions of an exposed stud partition framework, some early 19th century doors and door cases, panelled window reveals, and an early 19th century staircase connecting the first and second floors. A half-round arched cupboard is located within the east party wall on the first floor.
