Description

The stables at Hinton Farm, located 5 metres south-west of the farmhouse, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from roughly squared lias stone that is barely coursed, with a half hipped clay tile roof resting on stone slate base courses. The building is two storeys high and has four nominal bays. It features wood casement windows, including one with square leaded panes. There are garage doors in the second bay and a plain door in the third bay, both with exposed timber lintels above the ground floor openings. The roof structure consists of collar braced trusses with diagonal wind-bracing.
