Description
Castle Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, topped with clay double Roman tiles and featuring brick end chimney stacks. The building is two stories tall and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a boarded front door set in a heavy square frame. It has three-light casement windows, with a two-light window above the door. The lower left window is a 20th-century addition, while the other windows are mostly older, some featuring leaded lights and old iron casements with catches. Exposed timber lintels are present over all openings. Castle Cottage is part of a terrace and shares its roof with a later cottage to the south, which is not included in this listing.
