Description
Swallow Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from locally sourced stone that is cut, squared, and coursed, featuring a thatched roof and porch, along with brick end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a boarded door with a glazed panel, set within a wooden trellis porch that also has a thatched roof. The cottage has casement windows, with three lights in the main windows and two lights above the door, and exposed timber windows on the ground floor. On the south side, there is a two-storey extension made of brick in English bond, topped with a double Roman clay tile roof. This extension includes two windows, stable and garage doors below, all under a single bonding timber, with a single casement window located above.
