Description

This building is a granary located to the southeast of West Mudford Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century. The structure is timber-framed with brick infill, set on staddle stones, and features early 19th-century replacement brick walling. It has a hipped plain tile roof and stands two storeys high. The granary includes a 19th-century plank door and two light window openings. Inside, there are quarter-turn winder stairs, some window shutters, and a side purlin roof. This granary is a notable example of a substantial two-storey structure and has group value with the early 18th-century West Mudford Farmhouse.
