PITMINSTER CP PITMINSTER VILLAGE Barn, walls enclosing garden,and outbuilding abutting west end of Pitminster Farmhouse

Barn,walls and outbuilding. Probably C18,outbuilding early-mid C19.Random rubble squared and coursed blue lias lower gable end, clay tiled roofs, coped verges to barn, red brick walls, random rubble facing to wall fronting road. Plan: barn set gable end onto road facing south-west, to north-west walls returned around garden including coeval summer house at further end, abutting south-east corner of barn outbuilding linking group to Pitminster Farmhouse (qv). Only partially seen walls with segmental headed opening in east corner, rectangular summer house with nonopitch slate roof facing barn, latter with square headed openings to loft,some blocked openings visible,square headed door in gable end; 2 irregularly placed square headed openings in outbuilding fronting road. Forms a good group with the farmhouse abutting on corner site.
