Description

PITMINSTER CP ST2219 PITMINSTER VILLAGE 12/132 Fly Boat Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Evolution unclear without internal inspection, possibly C17 enlarged Cl8. Roughcast right, colour washed squared and coursed stone left, slobbered rubble left return, thatched roof right with ridge swept up over end 2 bays,brick stack right gable end, independently roofed higher, half hipped double Roman tiled roof left, C18 brick stacks right gable end, set in from end left and C20 stack rising from eaves between second and third bays left. Plan: not clear, possibly 3-cell and cross passage farmhouse partly rebuilt and enlarged with loft over store at left end. Two,and one and a half storeys, 3:3 bays; left hand block 3-light casements first floor, ground floor C20 window left, 2 and 3-light casements and entrance in corner, C20 porch, fielded panelled door; right hand block set back slightly with break in wall making end bay with eaves line raised, left 3-light casement below eaves, centre 2-light set in roof space, right eaves raised up with 3-light window rising from eaves level, ground floor 3 and two 2-light casements,lean-to addition right.
