Description
Hele Bridge Farm is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century, with expansions made in the early to mid-19th century. The building is roughcast over rubble and features a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves. There is a brick stack located between the first and second bays on the left side and a large external stone stack on the right return, which is partly concealed by a lean-to addition. The farmhouse has a double pile layout facing east and an extension at the rear. It stands three storeys high and consists of three bays, all featuring wooden 3-light mullioned and transomed windows. The central entrance has a single-storey gabled porch with a semi-circular headed opening and a half-glazed inner door with many panes. On the right return, there is a lean-to single-storey extension that includes a 2-light window, which is part boarded and part leaded, as well as an independently roofed wing at the rear. This single-storey extension likely encloses a bread oven and other features at the service end. The interior has not been seen but may contain interesting historical features.
