Description
Rumwell Hall is a house that has been converted into a guest house. It was built around 1840 and restored in the late 20th century. The exterior features a render that is grooved to resemble ashlar stone, a hipped slate roof, paired decorative console brackets, a moulded cornice, a moulded plinth, and quoins.
The building has a double pile plan and stands three storeys high with three bays. It includes twelve-pane tripartite sash windows with keystones, and on the ground floor, there is an eighteen-pane tripartite sash window with moulded segmental tops supported by consoles. The design also features blind boxes and a central portico with a shallow pediment supported by paired Doric columns, which has a triglyph frieze that continues inside the pediment. Access is provided by shallow steps leading to a half-glazed door from the 20th century.
Inside, there is a stick stair.
