No 12 With Attached Outbuilding To Rear

No 12 is a house that extends into former stables and a fire-engine house. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. The upper storey is timber framed but is now encased in sandstone and rendered on both the front and rear. The right gable wall is made of coursed sandstone, while the left gable wall is constructed of brick and pebble dash. The building has a pantile roof and brick stacks.

It is 2½ stories high with a 3-window front and features irregular quoins. The ground floor was once a garage and is now used for storage, with sliding doors set in a projecting concrete frame. The main entrance is located at the rear. The first and attic floor windows are 2-light horizontal sliding sashes. Between the first floor windows on the right, there is a datestone inscribed with 'A IE 1724'. The right gable wall is coped and has a kneeler, while the left gable end jetties on quarter-round moulded beams with wooden pegs. The attic storey at the rear is also jettied.
