GV II

House. Probably C17 origin, with C18 and later alterations. Sandstone rubble, painted; slate and asbestos slate roof with brick gable stack to left and corner stack to front right. This may originally have been one house, altered later with 2 staircases inserted to form two cottages of one-room plan. Winder stair to rear right of room to left, winder stair to rear left of room to right. Short lateral corridor form along rear left, giving access to door at left side; central entrance serving cottage to right. Now one house. 2 storeys and 3 windows, ground floor has 16-pane sash right and left of 6-panelled fielded door, first floor has 12-pane sash right and left with central blocked window and 4-pane light. To left side, the wall is splayed, door with segmental head to left and 12-pane sash at first floor left. Interior Central entrance, with step down to room to left. This room has cupboard with strap hinges. The rear passage has a wide segmental arch in rear wall, original purpose uncertain. Stair in room to right has vertical panelling and stick balusters.
