Description

Rose Cottage and Stow Cottage are a pair of attached houses, likely originating in the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed of painted rubble with a hipped slate roof and a brick stack on the right side. Rose Cottage faces the front, while Stow Cottage is situated to the rear. Rose Cottage has an entrance on the front right side and a single room to the left.

Rose Cottage features two storeys and two windows, all with 12-pane sashes and horns, along with a 20th-century glazed door on the right. A 20th-century six-pane light is present at ground floor level on the right side. Stow Cottage, which adjoins Rose Cottage, has a 20th-century door, a six-pane light on the left, and a 20th-century PVC sash window to the right, with matching windows on the first floor.

The interior of Rose Cottage was considerably altered in the 20th century. It retains a straight staircase to the rear right, with stick balusters and square newels.
