Description
No. 14 Church Street is a house, probably from the 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of painted stone rubble, with some sections hung with slate. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slate, featuring a gable end to the right and a brick chimney stack on the right side.
The house has a one-room plan, with heating provided by the gable end stack. Originally, there was a central entrance at the front, which has since been blocked; the current entrance is located at the rear.
The building has two storeys and two windows, with the upper level being slate-hung. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century four-pane sash windows. The ground floor features a single light window to the left and two similar four-pane sash windows to the right, with the central window having once been a door. The left side includes a 20th-century casement window, which was also formerly a door. There is a 20th-century casement window and a door at the first floor to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
