Description
The farm buildings located to the east of Tanton Hall Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with pantile roofs and form a range of structures around a courtyard. Most of the buildings are single storey, except for a two-storey barn situated to the east. The openings in the buildings are varied and include segmental cart doors, Dutch doors, and small windows set beneath flat gauged brick arches. The barn features an external stone stair with a ramped, shaped side wall at the rear. The front of the barn is enhanced by pilasters and a stepped cornice, and it displays a diaper pattern along with slit vents. The south end of the barn has been partly rebuilt.
