Description
Tanton Hall is an early 18th-century building that has been altered and extended in the 19th century, comprising two distinct phases of construction. The exterior is pebbledash, likely over brick construction. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate, featuring stone copings and kneelers, with end chimneys. The older part of the building exhibits stepped eaves beneath the pebbledash, and is notable for its wide proportions. It contains restored sash windows with glazing bars. The later part of the building is a double span. A two-storey canted bay window is positioned on the left side, and a four-pane sash window is located above a four-panel door. The door is set within a panelled doorcase, which incorporates an oblong fanlight and a cornice hood decorated with modillions that match the eaves. A rear wing of a later style is also present.
