Description
Tanton Hall Farmhouse and Garden Wall is an early 19th-century building that has been altered. It is constructed of local pinkish brick in English garden wall bond. The roof has been renewed with concrete tiles and features stone copings and kneelers, along with brick end chimneys. The farmhouse is two storeys high with three windows that have modern lights in the original openings, which are topped with stuccoed stone lintels and have stone cills. The central door is framed by a pilaster-and-entablature surround. A low set back right wing connects to a red brick garden wall that has stone coping and gateposts. This garden wall is also linked by a ramped-up section to the right corner of the main house. The rear elevation is rendered.
