Description

This is a milepost located approximately 170 metres south of Grange Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a hollow-backed, triangular-sectioned design with a sloping top plate. The top plate has raised lettering that reads "BULMER/WEST/H.D." On the left side, there is a hand pointing right with the inscription "HELMSLEY/17/MILES," and on the right side, a hand pointing left with the inscription "YORK/6/MILES."
