Description
Fir Tree Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of mottled pink brick in an irregular Flemish bond and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a central stair-hall entry plan. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels, topped with a five-pane overlight, all set within a wooden frame. The windows are 12-pane side-sliding sashes in wooden frames, with those on the ground floor featuring wedge lintels. A first-floor band of three stepped courses and tabled dentilled eaves add to the architectural detail, along with tabled end stacks. At the rear, there is an added lean-to outshut with a board door, and small side-sliding casements flanking a small central casement. Inside, the roof is supported by collared queen-strut trusses and staggered butt purlins.
