Description
Forrester's Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof. The building has a central stair-hall entry plan and stands two storeys high with three bays, along with an added partial rear outshut. A plinth runs along the base. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century board door with a two-pane over-light in a wooden frame. The windows are two-light, 12-pane side-sliding sashes, with the ground floor windows being larger and featuring cambered header-brick arches, along with late 20th-century louvred shutters. There is a stepped three-course band at the first floor and stepped dentilled eaves. The right gable has a raised verge, and there are tabled end stacks. The right return shows tumbled-in brickwork at the gable.
