Description

Dunelm Cottage is a house dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with additions constructed around 1980. It is built of pinkish-brown brick in an irregular Flemish bond, with a pantile roof. The original section of the house is two storeys and two bays, with a lower, added bay to the left. A step leads to the centrally located four-panel door within a wooden frame, which is topped by a bracketed hood. Original windows are 12-pane side-sliding sashes in wooden frames. A first-floor band consists of three stepped courses of brickwork. The eaves are finished with tabled dentil details. Raised brick verges feature tumbled-in brickwork and tabled end stacks. The added bay is not considered of particular architectural interest.
