Description
No. 62 Wheelgate is a shop that dates from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front is painted and rendered, while the rear is constructed from coursed rubble stone with irregular quoins. It has a pantile roof and is two stories high with a one-window front. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front, and the first floor has a 4-pane casement window with a painted stone sill. At the rear, there is one blocked window opening and one squat 4-pane sash window. The left side of the building has ground and first-floor openings with wedge lintels, and the ground-floor opening is keyed. This building is included for its group value.
