No. 28 High Street is a shop that dates back to the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed and squared rubblestone, topped with a gabled slate roof and featuring a brick stack at the north end. It stands three storeys tall and has one window range. The top floor has a 19th-century two-pane sash window with a projecting blind box, while the first floor features two two-pane sashes in a single opening, also with a blind box. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shopfront that includes a four-panelled door and a panelled side reveal.
