Description
The Blue Boar is a public house dating from 1683, featuring a reset datestone with the initials 'WT' in the panelled reveal of a ground floor window. The building was restored in the 19th century and is constructed from rubble stone faced with incised, colourwashed stucco, with stone quoins and a gabled stone tiled roof that has three ridge brick stacks. It is two stories high and has a three-window range. The upper windows are 19th century three-light, three-pane casements, while the ground floor windows are three-sashed canted bows, with the right-hand window being larger. There is a part-glazed and panelled 20th century door located in the second bay from the left, which is sheltered by a flat hooded porch supported by heavy wooden columns.
