Description
The Clarence Public House is a public house located in Malton, dating from the early 18th century or earlier, with some rebuilding that took place around 1945. The front is painted pebble-dashed and features a timber doorcase. The roof is made of pantiles, hipped at the right end, and there is a brick stack positioned to the right of center. The building has two low storeys and a five-window front. The entrance, located at the center right, has a pedimented doorcase with a dentil cornice and double doors that are raised-and-fielded panelled. To the left, there is a round-arched passage entry. The ground floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while the first-floor windows are similar top-hung sashes, all of which have painted stone sills.
