Description
Galen Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage that incorporates a former cottage to the right. It is built of rendered brick and features dentilled eaves and tumbled-in brickwork in the gable. The roof is made of pantiles with raised verges and end chimneys. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a lower two-storey, two-bay wing to the right that was the former cottage. There is a modern central porch with a glazed door. Each side has a canted bay with a hipped tile roof and sash windows that include glazing bars. Above these bays, there are modern casement windows. The lower wing has a garage door to the left and a dentilled bow window with glazing bars on the ground floor, while above it features small Yorkshire sash windows.
