Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage together with associated outbuildings. The cottage is constructed of brick and timber frame with brick nogging, and has steep pitched pantile and corrugated asbestos cement roofs. It has rendered brick and rubble plinths, coped gables with kneelers, and three gable stacks. The two-storey, two-bay street front includes a gabled wing to the left. Windows include a small casement, a late 19th-century triple sash with a segmental head, a Yorkshire sash with a segmental head, and a further sash window. Above, on the left, is a sash window. A large 20th-century glazed timber lean-to porch with a door is located on the east side, alongside a casement. A 20th-century sloping dormer is also present. A Yorkshire sash window is located at the return angle, and a further Yorkshire sash to the north. To the north are a toilet, shed, and cartshed, dating to the mid and late 19th century, built of brick with corrugated iron roofs. On the west side, the outbuildings have four bays of box framing with a curved strut.
