Description
Forge Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage constructed of brick and coursed rubble, topped with a pantile roof. It features dentillated eaves and has two gable stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays, arranged in an L-plan with a large 20th-century rear addition. The front elevation includes a central door with moulded jambs, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, which have segmental heads on the ground floor. Above the door, there are two additional sash windows. On the north-west side, there is a door flanked by single casements, with a small Yorkshire sash window above to the right. The south-east side has a blocked opening and, to the right, a casement window with a segmental head, along with another casement window above. This building is included for its group value only.
