Description
Struan Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage constructed from dressed coursed rubble, featuring a pantile roof with two dressed coursed rubble gable stacks and a raised eaves band. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door with a glazing bar overlight, flanked by single sash windows. On the upper floor, there are two similar sash windows with a single central recessed panel. All windows are framed with moulded wood. To the left, there is a set-back single-storey extension from the 19th century made of red brick and slate, which has two bays, a single red brick gable stack on the right, and two large glazing bar sashes under segmental arches. At the rear, there are additional single-storey, single-bay extensions made of red brick and pantiles.
