Description
The Old School House, located on Inholms Road in Flintham, is a school building that was used as a scout hut at the time of listing. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a pantile roof. The building features ashlar dressings, rebated eaves, and coped gables with kneelers. There is a single gable stack, and the structure is a single range with a late 19th-century lean-to addition on the northwest side. The southeast gable has a shaped inscribed plaque displaying arms, and above it is a gabled ashlar bellcote supported by a dentillated brick corbel, featuring a round-headed opening. On the southwest side, there is a metal casement window to the left, and to the right, there are two casement windows and a door, all with segmental heads. The northeast side has a central Yorkshire sash window.
