Description
Moore Old Primary School is a primary school built in 1878, now functioning as a Scout Hut. It is constructed from brown bricks with stone dressing and features a stone slate roof. The building is a single storey with four bays and is designed in the Jacobean style, arranged in an "L" plan. It has a weathered stone plinth, flush quoins, and a moulded string course that steps over the windows. The windows are stone dressed with mullions and wooden casements. The east gable features a Gothic stone dressed and moulded door opening, which contains a boomed door with false strap hinges. Above the window in the front gable, there is a crest that displays three carved birds. The east gable is adorned with an elaborate bell canopy that is cantilevered from the apex, and both the east and west gables have stone finials.
